Minimum
Night Stays:
Multi-night
minimums may apply. Weekends, May through August and all week September through October 25th, holidays and
Special Events.
Check-in/out Times:
Check-in is between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. We do not allow early check-in. Check-out is 10:30 a.m.
As we do lock up at night, if a later arrival is necessary, arrangements must be made 48 hrs. in advance.
As we must prepare the rooms for our next guests we can not extend the check-out time.
Children/Pets:
We do not accept children. Pets are not allowed
Damage
Our home is very important to us. While we believe that wear and tear is a cost of doing
business, damage is not.
If damage occurs you will be charged for it's resolution which may include a charge for our time as well as any
item repair or replacement.
Your credit card both acts as a guarantee for your room reservation and an indemnifier for costs associated with
any damage you cause while staying at the Canterbury House. As such, any damage will be charged to your credit
card. |

Smoking:
We are a non-smoking establishment. There is a $250 refurbishing charge for anyone smoking in the house or guest rooms. This fee will be put on the credit card used to rent the room.
Taxes:
All rates are subject to the 9% Vermont state room tax.
Rates/Deposits
All rates are subject to change without notice.
For reservations made within 48 hours of the arrival date a deposit for the full amount
will be applied to your credit car at the time the reservation is made.
Additionally, when reserving more than two rooms we require a 50% deposit via check or credit card.
Returns
Any returns due to a cancellation will be issued by company check within 5 days of notice for those cancellations
outside of the cancellation period.
For cancellations made with less than 14 days notice will be issued by company check within 5 days of the departure
date. |

Cancellations:
IMPORTANT... NO CANCELLATION
IS VALID UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED A WRITTEN CANCELLATION CONFIRM- ATION FROM US.
Normally 14 day notice must be given to receive a full refund. However, for holidays, Foliage, special events, or multi-room reservations, 30 days notice is required.
For cancellations made within the applicable period (two weeks, or a month) and up to 48 hours of your arrival date, you will be responsible for 50% or one nights stay whichever is greater, per room. However, if we are able to re-rent your room(s) for the entire stay, then you will only be charged a $25 cancellation charge for each room that is rented. For cancellations made within 48 hours of your arrival date you will be charged for your entire reservation.
Reservations made for foliage, holiday periods or special events are subject to a minimum $25 per room cancellation charge, per room, regardless of the lenght of notice given.
Early Departures:
Early departures are treated as a cancellation.
(Please note that the cancellation policy is a vital part of running a small Bed and Breakfast.)
